We interviewed Kristína, Sales & Account Manager for the local market.

Let us introduce you to Kristína, Sales & Account Manager for the local market (Slovakia and the Czech Republic).

Why did you choose TrustPay?

When I started thinking about changing my job, I wasn’t sure which way I wanted to go. My good friend used to work at TrustPay and suggested I try it there. I researched the company, and it sounded interesting, so I said I would try it.

There was a mutual spark during the interview because they immediately offered me the job. 😊 While working at TrustPay, I found out what I enjoy and where I see myself career-wise and in the future.

I would very much like to contribute to TrustPay becoming known as one of the best and most experienced providers of payment gateways and online payment services.”

What position are you currently working in, and what do you enjoy the most?

I am currently a Sales & Account manager for the local market (Slovakia and the Czech Republic).

This means that I try to find new partners for cooperation, but at the same time, I take the best care of the existing ones. Since I am very sociable and have always enjoyed working with people, it is difficult to decide what I enjoy the most.

On the one hand, I love the feeling of helping the client solve any urgent issues or anything that they come to me with and then seeing satisfaction with the solution. On the other hand, I enjoy being creative and resourceful in finding new business partners and preparing tailor-made solutions for them. The client can, therefore, be 100% sure that they are in the hands of experts.

Here, of course, my role does not end because the satisfaction of a business partner must be maintained or deserved. 😊 It’s not just about closing a deal and then turning a blind eye. In my work, I always try to make sure that my business partners know that they can contact me at any time with any question or request, or I call them to make sure that everything is in order. Sometimes we plan a personal meeting together over coffee or a good lunch. A good relationship is essential, and I value each very much.

TrustPay also participates in many exhibitions and conferences, where I have the opportunity to meet our clients or network within the industry and meet new inspiring people. Often, our paths are intertwined, and strong and long-term cooperation is established. Satisfaction on both sides is priceless.

What do you value most about your work, and what is the biggest challenge for you at the moment?

I especially appreciate the free hand in terms of time management and creativity. No one tells me when and how I must do something, although I always welcome advice from more experienced colleagues. After all, I should care most about scheduling my work to be as efficient as possible and deliver the results I want.

I also regularly attend meetings and brainstormings, of which we have several during the week.

The biggest challenge? I would very much like to contribute to TrustPay becoming known as one of the best and most experienced providers of payment gateways and online payment services, which it is, after all, 😊 and as a Slovak company to build an even stronger and well-known brand on the local market which many local companies would like to cooperate with.

What are your relationships with colleagues within the company, and how do you evaluate the corporate culture of TrustPay?

As I mentioned, I’m very sociable, so I like to talk and have fun with everyone.

We like and understand each other very well as a team. We often go out to eat together for ramen and sushi, go to a cottage or come up with some other shared activity. Thanks to our great HR team, there are a lot of teambuildings, but within the company, we have built real friendships and like to spend personal time together outside of work.

What does a typical day look like in your position?

Within our department, we have daily morning meetings over coffee and brunch, where everyone has space for questions that accumulated during the previous day/days. Then I respond to e-mails, prepare proposals for new collaborations, have video calls, phone calls, or have personal meetings. It is personal contact that can move cooperation forward because mutual trust is built better, and the business relationship takes on a new, even more relaxed dimension. 😊

So the day continues to evolve according to what needs to be prioritized or what I have on my “TO DO” list. I can’t say that I have the same daily routine and that diversity is exactly what I love about my job!

“What motivates me is the recognition and satisfaction – both of my clients (if they thank me, it always makes me feel good), as well as my managers.”

Any fun moments from working at TrustPay?

Of course! When we had a company photo shoot so we could all have beautiful and professional photos, my former boss got a photoshopped picture back and complained that she didn’t see any changes or improvements.

She came to me, looked at mine, which I just had opened on my computer, and yelled, “See, this is a retouched photo!” 😀

What motivates you the most at work?

In addition to the salary: D, what motivates me is the recognition and satisfaction – both of my clients (if they thank me, it always makes me feel good), as well as my managers. When someone tells me, “Good job, Tina.”

I think sometimes these things are forgotten, and it can be just such a small thing that can motivate a person to an even better performance, which they will do with pleasure. I am glad that TrustPay thinks of this. 😊
